Gunmen rob PE truck driver of consignment of cigarettes

 Port Elizabeth police are searching for three armed suspects who hijacked a truck belonging to a transport company on Friday morning.

Police spokesperson, captain Andre' Beetge, says the truck driver had been accosted while delivering a consignment of cigarettes to the Spar distribution centre in Perserverance.

He says the driver was put in the back of the truck which was driven to Koyana Street in Kwazakhele where the truck was emptied.

No shots were fired and the driver was not injured.

Anyone who may have information on the heist should contact their nearest police station.
