Only two days after a woman from Great Brak River was brutally attacked by two suspects, police members from the Great Brak River Police Station, managed to arrest one
suspect late on Tuesday night.
Police members arrested one suspect near the N2 highway on the way to George.
It is believed that the suspect is one of the men who assaulted a 56-year old woman in her
home in Sandhoogte Road in Great Brak River on Monday.
The two suspects allegedly surprised the victim from behind, threatening her with a knife whilst demanding money and valuables.
They severely assaulted her and slit her throat with.
The men eventually fled with between R90 000- R100 000 in cash.
The suspect is in custody and will appear in court later on charges of house robbery and assault.
Police are still looking for a second suspect, Joseph Motlomelo.
