A 69-year-old Knysna man, who allegedly sexually assaulted his 15-year-old step-granddaughter, was released on bail in the local magistrate's court on Tuesday.
The man was arrested on May 3 this year at his home where the incidents allegedly took place.
The teenager was allegedly sexually assaulted by the accused from the age of 11.
He was granted bail of R1000 on condition that the accused attend court, that he has no contact with the complainant and that he does not leave the Knysna area.
He will appear in court again on June 27 this year.
