The case against a Grahamstown woman who faces charges of violating a corpse has been postponed in the city's magistrates court.
The state alleges that Ronel Mostert, the owner of Siyakubonga Funerals, had allegedly instructed two of her employees to saw off the legs of a corpse with an angle grinder, allegedly because Thamsqua Tshali was too big for the coffin.
Police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender, said earlier that a case was opened last October following the exhumation of the body of Tshali's body.
Mostert (49), made a brief appearance in court on Monday where the case was postponed to 30th of September.
