Three men, aged 22 and 23, who were arrested for armed robbery in Grahamstown over the weekend, will appear in court on Monday.
Police captain, Mali Govender says they were arrested on Friday evening, after a spaza shop was robbed earlier in the day.
She says police confiscated a pistol and two rounds of ammunition.
Govender says the suspects tied-up the owner, and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, personal documents, cigarettes and cellphone airtime.
She says the suspects had been arrested previously for similar offences, and were recently released from prison.
