Municipal employees in Grahamstown are continuing to protest and toyi-toyi outside Town Hall.
Police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender says the strike has been going on for the past few days and so far police are investigating three cases of illegal gathering.
She says an interdict has also been issued to the officials of the strike.
Govender says the town has not been cleaned since the National Arts Festival ended on Sunday, and police and the Department of Tourism are appealing to the community to join them in a clean up initiative.
"We have not had our town cleaned since the festival ended. There is rubbish all over the street. Saps and tourism are putting an initiative together and we are making an appeal to the community of Grahamstown to come and do their 67 minutes for Madiba" she said
