 Port Elizabeth police are searching for five suspects following an armed robbery at Fig Tree Ocean Basket in Walmer.

Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg says the suspects entered the premises earlier on Tuesday morning and demanded cash.

Van Rensburg says the suspects made the employees lay on the floor but no one was injured.

She says the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money in an unknown getaway vehicle.

Police are investigating a business robbery.
