Police in Gqeberha are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a 51-year-old pedestrian was killed on her way to work on Wednesday morning.
Police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says Nomvula Kama was dropped off by a friend in Kragga Kamma Road shortly after 6 am near a shopping centre where she works at a retail store in Sunridge.
She says when Kama crossed the road she was hit by a red Hyundai vehicle and died on the scene.
The driver was not injured.
