Nelson Mandela Bay Executive Mayor, Nqaba Bhanga says the violent taxi strike in the Metro is over.
He said in a brief statement on Friday night that taxis would be available again from Saturday morning.
Bhanga has thanked all role-players and stakeholders for coming to the table to resolve the strike following a dispute with owners over Covid19 payments.
The Department of Employment and Labour says it will report back on 9 June whether Covid19 relief payments were in fact made in respect of the drivers.
