Gqeberha police are investigating a case of murder after a 45-year-old security guard was fatally wounded at an electrical depot in Swartkops during the early hours of Saturday morning.
Spokesperson, Colonel Pricilla Naidu says it is alleged that two security guards were surprised by 10 suspects, who tried to shut them inside their guard room.
She says one of the guards managed to escape while his colleague was held inside.
Two shots were fired outside before the suspects fled the scene.
One of the guards was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
Colonel Naidu says nothing was taken from the premises.
No arrests have yet been made.
