Gqeberha police are seeking the community's assistance in tracing a 25-year-old woman who was allegedly responsible for a fire in which five shacks and three vehicles were destroyed in Missionvale on Sunday morning.
Spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu says it is alleged that a 25-year-old man and his girlfriend had an argument on Saturday evening, and she allegedly threatened to burn down his shack.
She says the man ignored the threat and went to a nearby tavern with friends.
He was informed at around 01:30 on Sunday that his shack was on fire.
Colonel Naidu says the flames spread to four other shacks, and they were all completely destroyed.
She says three vehicles that were in the complainant's yard were also gutted.
No one was injured and the fire department extinguished the flames.
The suspect has since disappeared and her whereabouts are unknown.
