Gqeberha police say a warrant of arrest was issued for a gang suspect allegedly involved in the shooting of two people in Helenvale in May this year.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says they are searching for Elrico Finnes in connection with the incident in Deverill Street in which a 37-year-old man was shot, and an innocent person injured.
She said it is alleged that on the evening of 23 May, the suspect approached a man standing in a passageway who then ran away.
Naidu said the suspect pursued him and "during the incident an innocent person was also injured."
She said anyone who may have information on Finnes' whereabouts should contact Detective Sergeant Xolani Sokanyile on 082 442 2270 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
