Gqeberha police are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the mother of a foetus that was found in the Greenbushes area on Saturday afternoon.
Spokesperson, Colonel Pricilla Naidu says the partially decomposed male foetus was found near a sewerage outlet with the umbilical cord still attached.
She says the grim discovery was made in a bushy area at the back of a quarry in Mission Road.
A case of concealment of birth is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact SAPS Kabega Park detectives on 041 397 6802 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
