Police in Gqeberha are searching for two suspects after a 38-year-old Linton Grange man and his domestic worker were robbed at gunpoint on Saturday.
Colonel Pricilla Naidu says it is alleged that the man opened the door and gate for his domestic worker just after 8am and went back to his room.
She says two men ran into the yard of the house in Godetia Street and threatened the domestic worker with a firearm.
They entered the house and tied her hands with cable ties before going to the bedroom and also tied the complainant’s hands and feet.
The suspects fled the scene with a cellphone, two laptop computers, a TV set, and cash.
Colonel Naidu says the suspects jumped into a waiting white VW E250 vehicle and fled the scene.
Police are appealing to residents to be attentive and vigilant when opening and closing their doors, garages, and gates.
