Gordon case postponed again in PE court

The case against flight sergeant Frederick Gordon, who was found guilty of brutally assaulting his wife and holding her captive in their Forest Hill flat, has once again been postponed in the Port Elizabeth magistrates court.

Gordon, who sacked his legal aid lawyer, kept on requesting the court to postpone the matter to seek private councel.

However, Magistrate Chris Kruger granted Gordon an appeal to re-apply for legal aid on Friday, because Gordon can't financially afford private councel.

The Legal Aid Board will now decide whether or not Gordon will be granted another attorney for pre-sentencing proceedings .

The case was postponed to the 28th of November.

Gordon was found guilty in July of the brutal assault and rape of his wife Avril.

However, he was acquitted on a charge of attempted murder.
