Good rainfall in parts of the Eastern Cape

Good rainfalls were measured over parts of the Eastern Cape the past 24 hours until 8 o'clock on Friday morning.

The PE branch of the SA Weather Service says 26 mm fell at Port Elizabeth airport, with up to 42 mm in places across the city.

Only 4mm fell in George and nothing yet in East London.

Other places which measured 20 mm and more, were St Albans with 42mm, Plettenberg Bay 38 mm, Joubertina 28 and Elands River also 28 mm.

The Weather Service says a little less rain fell in Nelson Mandela Bay's catchment areas, with 18 mm in Patensie.
