Reports of good rains over the weekend have been received from many areas of the Eastern Cape.
The rainfall figures from Friday up to 8 o'clock on Monday morning have been released by the Eastern Cape branch of the SA Weather Services.
Port Elizabeth received 30 millimetres - 25 of which fell in the 24 hours up to eight o'clock.
East London received 53 millimetres - most of which fell on Saturday.
Welcome rains fell in the interior, with Grahamstown receiving 66 millimetres, Cradock 61, Queenstown 44 and Graaff-Reinet 25.
Joubentina in the catchment area received 36 millimetres of rain.
