Good prices at first sale of Mohair winter season

The first sale of the 2012 mohair winter season took place on Tuesday with 86,290 kg on offer.

Mohair SA says prices were good even though Europe is on holiday and some uncertainty still exists from China.

The mohair market indicator closed at R90.70, two percent lower than the corresponding sale last year which is attributable to the shorter adult hair on offer.

The second sale of the winter season is scheduled for the 4th of September.
