The humanitarian organisation, Gift of the Givers says it will be delivering eight truckloads of fodder to Graaff-Reinet on Tuesday.
Founder, Dr Imtiaz Sooliman says the need for fodder from emerging and commercial farmers to feed hungry and dying animals is overwhelming.
He says their hydrologist, Dr Gideon Groenewald will be on-site to witness the drilling of their eighth borehole in the town.
Sooliman says the first five boreholes have collectively yielded 102 000 litres per day.
He says the Beyers Naude Municipality has confirmed total co-operation for Gift of the Givers initiatives for the town to deal with the unprecedented challenges of a drought that has wreaked devastation on man, animal, the environment and the economy.
