A 33-year old Eastern Cape man has been sentenced to 11 years direct imprisonment for the murder of his 26-year old girlfriend.
Police Captain Mali Govender says Zwelenzima Christopher Blou from Bathurst was sentenced on Friday for the murder of Vuyokazi Zondani.
She says Blou and Zondani were embroiled in a domestic argument at Thembisa Location in March 2018, when she ended her relationship with him.
She says he then took a knife and stabbed her in the neck.
She died at the scene.
Govender says he was arrested two hours later by members of the Bathurst police.
