George teens arrested for rape

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with the rape of a 44-year-old woman from George.

Police said the incident took place a week ago while the victim was taking a walk on the R404 road near the George Airport. 

The two 16-year-old boys were arrested at their homes in Geelhoutboom.

They appeared in the George Magistrate’s court on Friday and will remain in custody. 

The suspects will be back in court again on 5 December facing a charge of rape.
