A 16-year-old boy will be charged with murder after being arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning for the murder of 17-year-old Franzlin Willemse of Rosedale in George.
Police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie, said Willemse had suffered a stab wound to the chest and died in Lamech Street shortly after 1 am.
He said subsequent to the murder, police arrested the 16-year-old suspect who is being detained at the Pacaltsdorp police holding cells.
Pojie said the circumstances around Franzlin’s death is being probed.
He said the teenager will make his first court appearance soon.
