A 31 year-old accused, Zanemali Laho, appeared in the George Magistrates' court on Friday morning in connection with the murder of local taxi boss Tom Queba.
The case was postponed to the 4th of July and the accused will remain in custody.
Thembalethu Detectives arrested the suspect in the early hours of Wednesday morning at his house in Thembalethu.
Queba was the taxi industry's chief negotiator in the roll-out of the George Integrated Transport Network.
He was found in his mini-bus on the N-2 near Thembalethu on the 25th of May, with a bullet wound to the head.
