Police in George have appealed for help from the public in tracking down a suspect who allegedly raped a six year old girl in Thembalethu earlier this month.
Police spokesperson, captain Malcolm Pojie, says a reward is also being offered for information that would lead to the conviction of the perpetrator.
He says the suspect accosted the child and a friend on the 10th of November and lead her to a railway line in Zone Nine in Tembalethu where he allegedly raped the child.
Pojie says the investigation is being led the George Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.
Anyone who can assist the investigation should contact their nearest police station
