Prominent George dentist, Ian Venter has been sentenced to four years correctional supervision in the Thembalethu Regional court.
The 42-year-old dentist was earlier convicted on three charges involving sexual acts on a friend's 15-year-old son, as well as two charges relating to showing pornographic material to a person under 18.
Venter was however acquitted on the main charge relating to rape.
He will now only be able to leave his house to take his children to school and to go to work.
Other conditions include that he may not go near schools other than his own children's.
He faced nine charges including rape and sexual assault, after the alleged incident during a sleepover at his luxury rental home in Victoria Bay outside George in December 2011.
