A dentist from George who was rearrested at his practice, will remain in custody until his bail application on Wednesday.
The accused, 42-year-old Ian Venter, was previously convicted of performing sexual acts on a friend’s minor son during a holiday sleepover in December 2011.
Venter pleaded not guilty but was sentenced to four years’ correctional supervision in November 2014.
Venter was forbidden by the court to treat any children or be in the vicinity of them.
On Monday, police arrested Venter after it came to light that he was still treating children as his patients. since he still allegedly deal with children patients.
The National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson, Eric Ntabazalila says they filed a complaint about Venter.
He says this follows several entries on Facebook of children that were treated by Venter at his practice.
