An allege rapist has been arrested while sitting in the Mossel Bay Regional court while waiting for the case of his alleged accomplice to start.
The suspect was allegedly part of a group of four men who gang raped a woman in Asla Park last October.
The suspect's friend, a 27-year-old man, was the only one that police managed to apprehend in connection with the incident, and he was set to appear in court on Monday.
Police were still on the lookout for the other three suspects.
However, before court proceedings could start, the 32-year-old victim, identified the second suspect who was sitting in the court building.
When police confronted the 19-year-old, he admitted that he wanted to listen to his friend's trial.
Police arrested on the spot and taken into custody.
The young man will appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrates Court on Tuesday on a charge of rape.
Meanwhile, the trial of his 27-year-old friend was postponed to the 15 July.
