A house robbery suspect who was one of six people who escaped from Gelvandale police station last week is back behind bars.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Alwin Labans, says the 28-year-old man handed himself over to police on Sunday night.
This follows several visits by police to his home following Friday's escape.
Six awaiting trial suspects broke the lock of the police holding cell door to make their escape.
Five were rearrested shortly afterwards.
Police says they will now face additional charges of escaping from lawful custody.
