Port Elizabeth police have arrested two men in connection with another gangland shooting spree in the city's Northern Areas.
Two people were wounded, one an innocent by-stander, when gunmen fired numerous shots at a man standing in Deverill Street in Helenvale, early on Tuesday night.
Fifty-three-year-old Selinda Jacobs was wounded, while a 26-year-old man, who was the intended target, managed to flee the volley of shots.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Alwin Labans, says the three gunmen then turned their weapons on the occupants of a white Toyota Tazz, wounding the driver in the head.
The other occupants escaped unharmed.
Labans says police later arrested two men while the third is still at large.
It's believed that the people targeted were witnesses in a gang-related matter.
