Port Elizabeth police have arrested two suspects in connection two of three gang-related shootings over the past few days.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Alwin Labans, says a 17-year-old youth was arrested on Thursday in connection with a shooting in Helenvale late Tuesday afternoon in which a 47-year-old man was killed.
On suspect is still at large in that matter.
Labans says a man in his twenties was also arrested during a police operation for a shooting in Malabar Extension Six Wednesday in which a 26-year-old man was wounded. Two other suspects remain on the run.
He says police also seized three fire-arms during ongoing operations.
