Police at Fort Beaufort have arrested 14 suspects following an armed robbery at a bank at the town.
Brigadier Marinda Mills says three suspects were arrested shortly after they robbed security guards at the bank of their firearms on Monday.
An undisclosed amount of money was also taken.
Mills says SAPS K9 Unit and Organised Crime Unit members then joined the search for more suspects.
Another eleven men were arrested in Fort Beaufort at around three o'clock on Monday afternoon.
Police recovered 8 firearms and a substantial amount of cash from the suspects.
They are all in custody and will appear in court soon.
