Four suspects in PE court on housebreaking charges

Four suspects appeared in the Port Elizabeth Magistrates court on Wednesday on charges of possession of suspected stolen property and housebreaking in the Mount Road and Humewood area.

Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says the three men aged between 21 and 36 , and a woman aged 37 were arrested over the weekend in North End.

Janse Van Rensburg says police stopped and searched a suspicious white Opel Kadette and found various housebreaking implements and a stolen hand radio from a local security company.

Police received additional information that the suspects could be linked to other housebreaking cases..

Janse Van Rensburg says all four suspects will be back in court again on Thursday...

"Further investigation led the police to a dwelling in Wells Estate where several items of stolen property was found, including a safe which was taken from a break in in Humewood" she said
