Former body builder Brent Cunningham is back behind bars.
He spent Wednesday night in custody at the Walmer Police Station in Port Elizabeth after being arrested earlier in the day.
Police Warrant Officer Alwin Labans told AlgoaFM News that 23 year-old Cunningham would appear in the PE Magistrate's court on Thursday where he will face assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm and malicious damage to property charges.
The arrest of 23 year-old Cunningham yesterday is related to his alleged assault of his current girlfriend.
Cunningham previously spent several months in St Albans prison but was ultimately acquitted of assaulting his former girlfriend Shireen Ballon.
