Four people were killed in a head-on collision between two cars on the N2 between Grahamstown and Port Elizabeth on Christmas morning.
Eastern Cape Transport Department spokesperson, Khuselwa Rantjie, said that a “Toyota Avanza with five occupants and a BMW X5 with two occupants were travelling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided head-on.”
“One occupant of the Avanza has been rushed to hospital with critical injuries while two occupants of the BMW sustained slight injuries,” she said.
Rantjie said that the cause of the accident is not yet known.
