Four people, including a child, were killed in a horrific accident on the N2 near Mossel Bay on Monday night.
A spokesperson for Provincial Traffic Kenny Africa says the child, whose age is unknown at this stage, burnt to death.
He says the accident happened at about 11.30 pm approximately 80km from Dana Bay.
It is alleged that the driver of a Volkswagen Polo lost control of the vehicle and collided with a truck that was travelling from Cape Town towards George.
All four deceased burnt to death after the Polo caught alight.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been released.
