Two men and two women will appear in court in Hankey on Tuesday in connection with a double murder in the town over the weekend.
Police said on Monday that the four were arrested by Hankey detectives after the bodies of 41-year-old Claudia Antonie and 6-year old Lukishia Plaatjies were found in a house in Rosedale.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Basil Seekoei, says the woman had been stabbed while the child had been strangled.
He says the assailants also tried to set the house alight.
The four will face initial charges of murder and arson.
