A bank robbery in Lusikisiki was revealed to be an apparent inside job, when two bank clerks, along with two other accomplices, were arrested for the crime.
Eastern Cape police spokesperson, Lt-Col Mzukisi Fatyela says police received a call of a bank robbery on Friday and when they got there, the robbers were gone.
He says police viewed CC-TV footage, and later arrested two staff members who were inside the bank at the time of the robbery.
Fatyela says another two people were arrested in Gobo-zana on Friday evening, and R1.2 million was recovered.
He says police also recovered a firearm that was believed to be used in the robbery.
Fatyela says they believe that there is more money outstanding and more arrests will be made.
