A former presenter from Khanya Community Radio (KCR) was arrested on Saturday for malicious damage to property.
Police Spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha says the 28 year old man was hiding in a dark studio, waiting for the next presenter to arrive for duty, after he allegedly damaged the studio equipment.
The DJ phoned police who arrested the suspect.
The former presenter used to work for KCR in 2009 but was suspended in 2013.
Earlier this year the station was broken into, but Manatha says the suspect is not linked to that crime.
