Eastern Cape police said they were looking for 39-year-old Snethemba Sijula, aka DJ Snee, who they said could help them finalise an investigation into a child abduction case.
Police spokesperson, Captain Khaya Tonjeni, said Sijula allegedly abducted his own son, on his way back from school at Zwelitsha in King Williams Town on 13 June 2019.
“Our investigation team rescued the child in Gauteng and re-united him with the mother,” he said in a statement on Sunday.
Tojeni said that the Zwelitsha Magistrate's Court had issued an order against Sijula which he allegedly contravened by abducting the child again.
He said Sijula, who was based in Gauteng, had changed his address and also “resigned from work".
