A former bookkeeper at Port Elizabeth's Aurora Special Care Centre is expected to appear in the city's Commercial Crimes Court on 90 counts of theft of more than a million rand.
The 44-year-old Johannes Gieselbach, allegedly stole the money from the Care Centre between 2016 and 2019.
It is alleged that he had substituted his own banking details with those of Aurora's creditors and or suppliers after another person had authorised the payments.
The State says this resulted in amounts totalling more than 1.2 million rand being paid into Gieselbach's bank accounts over this period.
Gieselbach is currently out on bail.
