A former Western Cape ANC councillor has been jailed for life for orchestrating the murder of husband, staff-sergeant Preston Titus in 2017.
Magdalene Titus and her co-accused, Justice Mooi, were sentenced in the circuit High Court sitting in Oudtshoorn on Tuesday.
They were convicted earlier of the premeditated and cold-blooded murder of the SANDF member at the local army base in December that year.
Titus' brother, Howard, who now lives in Gonubie in East London, spoke to Algoa FM News from the outside Court.
He says they are very happy with the outcome and expected it to be a life sentence.
