Forensic evidence has linked a trial awaiting prisoner in Gqeberha with a second murder in the Metro.
The two hit-style murders took place in 2019 in the same street in New Brighton, just a few months apart.
The 29-year-old Usisipho Zozi was arrested in February this year for allegedly killing the 33-year-old Denver Koll who was a private security escort for a furniture company.
Koll was escorting a truck in his private BMW vehicle in June of 2019 when Zozi allegedly approached him and shot him in the head.
The furniture truck was later found empty and abandoned.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says when Zozi appeared in the New Brighton Magistrates Court earlier this week in connection with Koll's murder, he was charged with the murder of 31-year-old Ntsikelelo Mabusela.
She says Mabusela was killed in April of 2019 in Dora Street, whilst sitting in his VW Golf.
Zozi has been in custody since his arrest in February.
His next court appearance is in October.
