A man who sells second-hand computer goods in Gqeberha was arrested this week after an observant robbery victim identified her stolen laptops being advertised online.
The victim alerted Kabega Park detectives which led them to premises in Cape Road where more stolen goods were found.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the victim positively identified her two laptops in the shop and another 20 were confiscated.
She says the serial number on one of the laptops was traced to a house robbery in Sandton, Johannesburg.
The 40-year-old Daniel Daudo made a brief court appearance on Wednesday where he was granted bail of R1 000.
The case was postponed to the 29th of September.
Daudo is being charged for possession of stolen goods.
Colonel Naidu appealed to victims of house robberies where laptops were stolen to contact the Kabega Park police in the hopes to help identify stolen goods.
She says it is important for people to furnish the police with the serial numbers.
