Marais says a shot rang out from a spaza shop on the property - narrowly missing a member of the flying squad.
Two men - a Malawian and an Ethiopian - were arrested in the shop along with a South African women. They are all in their 20's.
Marais says police seized a 9 millimeter Norinco pistol and 8 rounds ammunition.
