The case against former tennis doubles champion Bob Hewitt was postponed in the Boksburg Magistrate's Court on Friday as the State had filed a centralised application.
The application was to ensure that all the charges against Hewitt be consolidated and heard in one court.
Hewitt faces two charges of rape. One of the alleged rapes took place in Boksburg in 1981, while the other was in Sun City in 1981.
He faces another charge of indecent assault.
The 73-year-old Hewitt, who is based in Addo in the Eastern Cape, was once again not in court on Friday.
His lawyer Alwyn Griebenow said the situation had not changed, and his client was still ill.
The case was postponed to January 10.
Magistrate Emmanuel Magampa said a warrant of arrest issued for Hewitt would be withheld until then.
