Fourteen foreign nationals have been arrested during a crackdown by police in the Mdantsane policing cluster in East London.
Police said that they face charges of contravening the Immigration Act.
The men, aged between 19 and 49, are due to appear in court soon.
Meanwhile, Captain Nkosikho Mzuku, said several shebeens were also closed down during their #SaferFriday operations.
"Illegal shebeens were closed down for selling alcohol without licenses while taverns were visited to ensure compliance with their liquor license conditions," he said.
