Foreign national stable following Spaza shop robbery

New Brighton police are looking for two male suspects in connection with an attempted murder case.

Constable Mncedi Mbombo says the two men entered a spaza shop in Nobatana Street, Kwazakhele at around ten o'clock on Wednesday morning.

They pretended as if they wanted to buy something but one of them pulled a firearm and shot the 44 year old Somalian shopkeeper in the stomach.

The suspects then fled without taking anything.

The victim is in a stable condition in hospital.
