George police are searching for two suspects after a 23-year-old Malawian national was shot and killed during a robbery at a spaza shop in Touwsranten near Wilderness on Friday evening.
Spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie says the suspects, wearing face masks, entered the shop and one of them opened fire without warning.
He says the shop assistant, Misheck Jemitalla was hit in the chest and died at the scene.
Pojie says the suspects then robbed two customers of their cellphones and took a substantial amount of cash from the till before fleeing on foot.
