The SA Weather Service in Port Elizabeth has warned of expected heavy rain in places along the coast and the adjacent interior of the Eastern Cape on Tuesday.
It says flooding is expected in places, with possible severe thunderstorms over the interior
Spokesperson, Garth Sampson says the system will move out to sea in the region of East London by late afternoon.
He says a high pressure system will then ridge in, bringing in light rain to the coast and adjacent interior for most of Wednesday.
Sampson says it will start to clear from the west on Thursday.
