A 25-year-old man, believed to be from Paterson in the Eastern Cape was arrested following a robbery at a business in Alice on Thursday afternoon.
Police spokesperson, Captain Siphokazi Mawisa says three men, wearing SAPS bulletproof vests, entered the premises and introduced themselves as police officials.
She says they then threatened the teller with a firearm and demanded money.
They took four bags of money and fled through the back door.

Police quickly responded, and found the suspect floating in the water.
An undisclosed amount of cash was recovered.
The suspect will appear in the Alice Magistrate's Court soon on a charge of business robbery.
